As a young child, my parents always used the remedy of giving me a tablespoon of honey mixed with black seed or black pepper to help soothe a cough. Not only is it a cough suppressant, but it is also very beneficial for cold and flu symptoms in contrast to modern-day medicine, as it acts as an excellent booster for the respiratory system.

  1. Beneficial for wounds, burns and acne.

Honey is an incredible antiseptic that can be used on burns, wounds, and acne that help soothe the skin. Honey dressings have been known to sterilize wounds and burns and speed up the healing time process. It has been reported that honey can affect about 60 different types of bacteria, including some viruses and fungi.

  1. One of the best cures for gastronomical problems.

Honey can be mixed in tea, warm water and also taken on its own. The properties it holds serve as a great remedy for any gastro-related issues. The anti-inflammatory effects help the stomach and digestive system. It also helps fight against many different bacteria found in the gut, such as Salmonella, E. coli, and Shigella. This honey has been used for centuries to help soothe pain, fight against bacterial illnesses and cure any diseases by being composed of amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and enzymes.
